Silence of the Lambs

Geniunely creepy horror/suspense film. Jodie Foster is Clarice Starling, a student at the FBI Academy thrown into a serial killer case, for which she must talk with Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lector, a serial killer held in a maximum security facility. Only through Lector's help can Clarice hope to catch up with "Buffalo Bill," whose latest kidnap victim is the daughter of a U.S. Senator. The chase for Buffalo Bill is exciting and intense, particularly at the end, and that alone would make Silence of the Lambs a very good suspense film, but it is the interaction between the inexperienced Clarice and the brilliant psychopath that makes it a great film. Both scary and intellectual.
