Au revoir, les enfants

In 1930s France, a boys school gets some new students. The other boys are a little apprehensive at first, but soon two of them form a close friendship. Only it turns out that the new students are Jewish refugees from Germany, and soon the Nazis come looking for them, testing the limits of the boys' friendship. Very affecting and poignant, showing the effect of the Holocaust even on children outside of Germany, away from any concentration camps.
