Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas Highly disappointing version of the classic Christmas tale. Jim Carrey does make a funny Grinch, and some of the scenes are enjoyable, but there really isn't enough to the story to fill out a feature-length movie. So the filmmakers added in a back story about why the Grinch is a grinch...when the point is that the grinch simply is a grinch, no explanation necessary. Besides being overlong, it's overproduced. There is so much to look at that it's impossible to concentrate on the story and care about the people.
