The Matrix

Absolutely one of the coolest movies ever made. The world as we know it is an illusion, a computer program designed by machines to keep their power source, human beings, from rebelling against them. A small group of humans have broken free and believe they have found The One, the long-prophesied man who is capable of taking on the computers and beating them in their own program, The Matrix. The Biblical allusions don't stop there — the one free human city left is Zion, one rebel's name is Trinity, and the ship is called the Nebuchadnezzar. Pretty deep for a sci-fi action flick. The visuals are amazing, and the story is as good, a very rare combination.
